I have now started to make a DVD cover for my film on the program fireworks and i have looked at some existing covers on the Internet for a bit of inspiration. I think that i will take a few ideas from a couple of the existing ones and make them my own and to the style that i want. these are the ones that i think i will take a few ideas from.

I will be using a range of filming equipment such as ,camera,tripod and editing software








This equipment is all i need to create my film and i think that if i use them well and make use of all the settings and features that they have to offer it could turn out very good.

I have made a rough cut of my film and it will be posted as soon as i can . The rough cut includes the end of the traler and the middle because i need to film a bit more.

I think that i will do an animatic once i have posted my storyboard this will include all the storyboard and more things that i will add to make the trailer better.

I have started to upload my storyboard an it will look something like this, it might no be as detailed but i think you can get an understanding of what the film is about.

Iv been looking at fonts for my title and i think that i have found the best ones for my style of film.

Iv started thinking about what costumes i want my actors to ware but I'm not sure yet, iv been thinking about for the killer dark jeans big boots, black jacket and a sack on his head to hide his identity. For the other actors i think they should ware there normal cloths because it a non uniform school tripp.

I have started to draw out a story board for my film project, i have not quite finished it yet but it will be on soon. I have now finished my story board and will now take photos of it and put them in a slide show .

Dialog and script are one of the most important factors of making a good film i have started to write my script and I'm finding it quite hard to figure out what they should say. I think that i will look at a scrap from a norther film and try to get an idea of what to write.

I have now got a rough idea of what i am going to do and how i am going to do it, I am going to make an anamatic to portray my idea, I might make a few changes as i go along but i think that i have it all sussed out .

Locations are also very important to the film because if you don't get the right location for the genre of your film it could be a disaster. I think that the best location for my film should be a crop field because it links to the name of the film and the genre of it also. I will film it at night because it will make it more scary and dramatic for the audience. I think i will do it on a fogy night to make it seem that it is a deserted Field and to add to the feel of loneliness.

Non diagetic backing tracks are commonly used in film trailers, these are used to build tension and make it more dramatic. I'm thinking about pouting a classical sound track behind my film because i have seen a lot of films with classical music in the background and it seemed to work well with that type of genre.

Setting is one of the most important elements of making a good film and i think that my setting should be dark and gloomy, soft and dim light to set the mood and a thin mist of fog. This will make my setting look effective and professional.

I think that my target audience should be the horror/thriller fans because i like that genre of film and i would like to have a go at producing my own. I think that i will take a few techniques from another film and use them in my own to reach that target audience that i am trying to please.

I want the location to be a crop field in the middle of know were and i can do whatever i want film wise. i am going to shoot it at night and i am going to try and shoot it on a full moon to make it that more dramatic and mysterious.

To start planning for my film trailer i am going to start with the location and the setting. I already have a rough idea of what the setting should be like and were the location is but i might make a few changes as i go along and maybe change the location if i find a better and more dramatic one.

My idea for my film trailer is based on a psycho murderer who wears a sack on his head to hide his identity. Its set in a crop field and has as much blood and gore that i can get away with. the basic plot to that film is a school takes there students on a field trip and the bus breaks down at the edge of a crop field

I like the way that the main character has a extreme close up image of them on the poster and i think that i will use the same concept with mine. I think that the big main image is very effective and bold because you get a picture of the main character or get an understanding of what the film is going to be about. They all have the title of the film quit bold and it stands out. I think that the first thin that you look at is the main image and then you look at the title straight away.

These posters are very distinctive and can be easily recognised.

I think that the close up or medium close up image makes a big difference in the way that you look around the page like horizontal and vertical integration. I like the way that the skeleton key has set out its page because i think that the eye with the glare of an image inside is very effective and tels a story on ins own.

Film posters often portray the genre of the film in there own way and they try and put the most dramatic or romantic image on it as they can. You can often see that title stand out very bole and in your face and these are a prime example of the title being bold. I think that i am going to use that same consept with my poster and make tha title stand out and very bold
